Cracked Canopy Repair
Due to my own stupidity I caused a modest crack to my P-39 canopy (pretty damb brittle). It's not besides bad and I've got a replacement only for at present if I wanted to endeavor a repair, what are my options? Like I said, it's modest, simply near 2" and unobtrusive. I'd simply like close it up and prevent it from spreading.
Cheers guys,

Canopy glue information technology right over the crack. Sometimes it takes a couple coats. Isnt the prettiest but works fine.

Nothing is going to look pretty. I use a piece of articulate tape cutting to size on the within of the awning so put some a minor corporeality of CA in the scissure from the outside.

Good luck to you. I lived in Plano for about 8 years in the 90s. I just went back last twelvemonth and couldn't believe how much that area has grown. What club are you a fellow member of?

Thanks guys,
Drill small holes at both ends of crack and dribble some blood ruby paint around it. Thats the best weathering. Simulated byullet holes with blood actually gets a warbirds attention.

Freeze it first then bulldoze a small boom through to get puncture cracks for existent field use. I e'er leave some DNA in my builds[:@]

I fly with the North Dallas Radio Command Social club, our field use to exist forth the North Tollway and Warren Rd. Due to northern growth we have a new field out by Aubry (not far from Denton). Plenty of open space to destroy our aircraft in now.
